The Guardian was purchased by EPNG in 1937 and provides the latest news from the Swan Hill region, northern Victoria
and NSW Riverina. 

Part of ENG Media, we have been proudly serving our local communities since 1888. 


We aim to provide our readers high quality, ethical and entertaining local news and
sport. 


Passionate advocates for every town in our region, we cover the issues affecting our
tiniest villages and largest regional centres.


The Guardian is published every Tuesday and Friday.

Swan Hill is the hub of the rich middle reaches of the mighty Murray River. With an
estimated population of 22,500 in Swan Hill Rural City, it is the fourth largest
municipality in Victoria in area, but is the largest in as far as production is concerned.
Swan Hill is also a service centre for a large area of the south western Riverina
adjacent to New South Wales.
